our wine shop is growing up

Vino Gusto was born in lockdown in May 2020 and has been a firm fixture at The One Bull since then. But as restrictions lift further from 19th July (more on that shortly), it’s time for the wine shop to leave home.

From Monday, Vino Gusto will move temporarily to being an online shop only and we’re bringing back free same day local delivery (IP28-IP33 on a £20 spend if you order before 2pm). We’ll still be at the end of the phone with friendly, expert advice or suggestions. We’ll continue to expand our current range of 250 wines and you can still buy local gins and Brewshed beer cans from us.

Your original lockdown trio remain as Jake continues to head up and develop the shop with us. Later in the year, Vino will really come of age as it moves into a retail space in the town centre and we’re so excited about this.

To stay in the know about our wines, special offers, new shop plans and so much more, sign up to our dedicated Vino Gusto mailing list so we can update you as things move forward:

what’s happening in the pubs?

As you’ll know, the legal restrictions that we’ve all been living under will be lifted from Monday as the government have decided that it’s time do so. Whatever your view on that, our aim is to tread the delicate line of starting to return the pubs ‘to normal’ whilst keeping our teams and customers as safe as possible.

From Monday, you will see a continued focus on ventilation, hand sanitisers will remain, we’ll still be cleaning frequent touch points and our front of house team will continue to wear face masks.

You won’t have to scan the NHS Covid-19 app to enter, wear a mask or socially distance. However, we do ask that you respect our teams and other customers. Our QR code posters will stay on display so you can check in if you want to and if you prefer to wear a mask when moving around in our pubs, you are welcome to do so.

You can also book a table for more than 6 individuals or 2 households (subject to any group size restrictions already in place prior to covid within each pub). We’ll start to re-introduce some of the furniture that we took out last summer to varying degrees but we are limiting our capacity compared to the ‘old normal’ for the time being. We ask that you take a seat to eat or drink inside.

We will update the ‘Staying covid secure’  and ‘Book a table’ pages on each of our websites next week so please bear with us as we focus on what things will look like practically from Monday first.

As always, we want you to experience great hospitality when you visit our pubs and we want to thank you all again for your support of the pubs, the wine shop and the brewery over the past 16 months.

Best wishes

David & Roxane Marjoram
